There are so many ways of looking at it.
6 months have passed since I entered NS.
There are 16 months before ORD.
Roughly 506 days to passing out.
It boils down to the same thing, ultimately. A cycle that meets it's end, eventually. As all things do.

Most of us from BTT17 are leaving OETI. Only a few will stay on as possibly instructors, or just common technicians. GSMB people make up the biggest portion of the posting.. from the last count it was nearly 30 out of 46, which is excessive by any standards. To some extent I wasn't that pleased at all when Lance failed to mention my name. Seeing the happy faces around me (most probably because they thought staying-out would now become permanent), many thoughts were rushing through my head. My little band of brothers: Derrick, Kylie and co. all in base. Where was I going to end up in?

Armour unit! I'm going back to be a normal soldier.
Slacking suddenly seems so far away.
But after it sunk in, everything fell into place. For one, it's a stay-in camp. Everyone's been repeating among themselves how a certain retard has been complaining about travelling and monetary issues.. I must confess I'm the one. Imagine the money I can save. Desperate now, mind you. Even twenty bucks can be priceless.
Calvin and Zihao's going in with me. That's a relief. Having 2 buddies can be a huge source of comfort, quiet and sane ones at that. Dependable and solid.
I think I better stop here, or I'll be late for pool.
