Today (or yesterday) has gotta be the first time I've ever seen a buffet restaurant so upset; I bet it was their first time facing such a situation. As in, the "buffet" in buffet restaurants has to count for something, right? Basically it means we eat as much as we can, and maybe we did over-eat somewhat, but STILL, unless the staff can actually measure the amount of food currently digesting in our vital organs, I couldn't, and still don't, see what they could possibly have done to us. Hey, maiden encounter with kiasu/wasteful/ravenous people? This restaurant has a long, long way to go. So much for Kublai Kahn.
The food wasn't that bad, but I definitely would have enjoyed it more if not for the stinking braces.. Just got them tightened two days ago, and every morsel of food hurt like hell. Jo and Chuwei just gorged themselves on sashimi till the chef got really pissed; he just needed to bring a new platter out, divert his attention for a second, and all he got for his trouble was seeing the two of them scamper away with his hard work. According to them, they ate close to 90% of the sashimi, the moment they stepped into the restaurant. Added to the many, many plates of delicacies.. okay, so it seems KK was hard-pressed after all lol.
Lil' Wong's classmate just had the misfortune to drop in that night, together with a few familiar faces (TCHS peeps). The worse thing that can happen to anyone entering the same eating place as a bunch of NS dudes, only occurs to it's maximum potential when you are, of course, a pretty girl. Perpetually stalked the moment she stepped in, it didn't help that she smiled sweetly at Zihao. Staff Heng and Staff Cheong kept going to the booth next to her table, ordering food which they threw at us. Hilarious, how two 29 year olds can be so immature.
When the chocolate fountain came on, all 30 of us rushed for the strawberries. I can recall vividly the image of a toddler, staring mournfully at the empty plate. Tomatoes and grapes, are of course, not as delicious as a chocolate strawberry.
The morning was a chaotic one. As I once said before, it's total madness to throw a ball at an army platoon, and ask them to play nicely. How a captain's ball game evolved into a rugby game is anyone's guess.
And after everything, I showed, that though DotA is flying out of my life, I still have a thing or two.
