I'm back
things always happen. but not all change. and some remain the same.
my dear blog, here I am again. with all my whims, sorrows, fancies. and as always, you do not speak to me, not in words, maybe not at all.
every time i return from a long-drawn hiatus, changes always hang in the air. things happen for a reason, and as cliche as it sounds, we might actually turn out alright. just alright. strange as it sounds, and i may not even believe it now.
min is gone, and so have the rest. everyday i tell myself, things are better. my heart believes it not. but maybe not yet.
school has been good. recently concluded marketing, and most importantly the ensemble. i haven't felt so happy with a group of people since the lobos. and this is great feeling; only the emptiness that follows makes me wonder if it's worthwhile. for this, the answer is clear.
moving on.
spain - world cup champions 2010
the last time spain came out on this page, we were still perennial underachievers. from 1998's team of raul, guardiola, alfonso, hierro and zubizarreta, to the korean-cursed 2002 morientes, mendieta, luis enrique, valeron and tristan. losing to zidane's inspired french squad in 2006 was heart-breaking for many reasons, especially since it happened on outfield day.
but yes, here we are. no more king raul, but so many other legends, armed with the euro, and now on top of the world.
david villa, andres iniesta, xavi, fernando torres, iker casillas, carles puyol, xabi alonso, david silva, sergio ramos, joan capdevila, cesc fabregas, gerard pique, sergio busquets and the rest of this great spanish team, i salute you.

and what do we do with the big three in miami? this is bullshit. talking about bulls, carlos boozer is in town. with derrick rose and joakim noah. the tides have changed in the nba. lakers won the last one, but chicago may be on the rise. they just need a pretty good shooting guard, and we're good to go. with luol deng and taj gibson, things are looking up.
and what of man united? no benzema, no tevez, no david silva sigh. that's one down. we just conceded the title to chelsea, and that's that. barcelona just got david villa. how will they not own the rest? baffling.
my oldest cousin is getting married. i'm the designated driver. will i drive him to his doom? such a calamity! am looking forward to that day actually.
john has a baby! first of the many. not that we didn't expect this, of course.
and for me now. the girls come and go. i'm never going to be certain. i never will be in the near future. each of them have left their mark; all of them have their only works in name, done by me in a fit of self-deluded passion. time will heal all. i guess. gpa is still good, not ruined by ill-discipline or self-ruin.
the road is still long. but for now, i'm back.
